Magician Michael Hamilton presented a magic show with a very important message to three Emery County elementary schools this week. These three shows were all sponsored by Les Schwab Tire Center of Price. One hundred presentations will be presented throughout the state of Utah during the school year, all sponsored by Les Schwab Tire Center.
On Tuesday afternoon, Hamilton was at Castle Dale Elementary. The theme of the show was “Doing The Right Thing Matters.” The show was audience-active and the students were very engaged at all times.
Hamilton taught about the choices students should make with regard to the power they have over what they say and how they act. He had the students respond with a chant, “I have the power, clap, clap, and a cheer.” The students were reminded several times that they make choices every day.
After several magic acts, he closed by telling the students, “You don’t need to be anyone else, you just need to choose every day to be better than you were yesterday. You always get to choose and can always start over. Mistakes are how we learn.”
