On Wednesday evening at approximately 7 p.m., a male was walking eastbound along State Route 6 in Helper near Pick & Rail Market and milepost 232.

While walking, the man was struck by a tractor trailer flatbed-style truck. A representative of the Utah Department of Public Safety was quoted saying that the male that was struck had been causing a disturbance.

Before local law enforcement could arrive at the scene, it appeared that the male ran in front of the vehicle and the front of it impacted him.

The male in question, who died from his injuries on scene, has been identified as 64 year-old Rocky Park, according to Utah Highway Patrol. While it was believed that Park was a transient, his last known address was in Arkansas.
