A Wellington City Police officer was involved in a shooting on Tuesday evening at approximately 7 p.m. According to the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office, one man is deceased and the officer was unharmed in the incident.
The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office is leading a multi-team investigation into the incident in conjunction with the Price City Police Department, Emery County Sheriff’s Office and Carbon County Attorney’s Office.
The officer will be placed on paid administrative leave per Wellington City’s policy.
