Castleview Hospital announced Tuesday that Mark C. Holyoak has been appointed its chief executive officer (CEO) effective immediately. Holyoak has served the hospital as chief operating officer since 2010 and as interim CEO since January 2011. He succeeds Jeffrey Manley, who is leaving his post to focus on his family and health.
“Mark is deeply committed to both Castleview Hospital and the citizens of Carbon and Emery counties,” said Michael Clark, president of LifePoint Hospitals’® American Division, of which Castleview Hospital is a part. “This commitment – coupled with nearly 15 years of healthcare experience and proven expertise in hospital operations – makes Mark an ideal successor to Castleview’s long-time and beloved leader, Jeff Manley.”
Prior to joining Castleview Hospital in 2010, Holyoak served as chief nursing and clinical officer at Ashley Regional Medical Center, in Vernal, Utah, for 10 years. In this position, he contributed significantly to developing a patient focused facility, worked closely with the medical staff. He has also proven his efforts in quality measurement and improvement, and accreditation. Holyoak also previously served as executive clinical director at Wasatch Surgery Center in Salt Lake City, part of the University of Utah Medical Center, and as nursing supervisor at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas.

Holyoak holds a master’s degree in business administration, a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry. He is originally from Cedar City, Utah. Mark and his wife Patrice, have five children: Charly 18, McKenna 16, Connor 14, Jessa 10 and Spencer 8.
