As Green River High School (GRHS) prepares to bid farewell to yet another collection of graduates, the time came to choose the 2020 valedictorian and salutatorian.
For 2020, the valedictorian was announced to be Sarah Vollmer. She is the daughter of Aaron and Jennifer Vollmer. The valedictorian is 18 years old and credits her favorite subject to be art. Her hobbies and interests include sports, horses, outdoor activities and anything artistic. After graduation, Vollmer will set her sites on going on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before attending BYU-Idaho and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy.
The 2020 salutatorian is Samuel John Corrigan, son to John and Michele Corrigan. He is 18 and played many sports for GRHS, including baseball, basketball and golf. For hobbies and interests, Corrigan credits outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting, as well as all sports. Following graduation, Corrigan plans to attend Dixie State University where he plans on earning a degree in biology and becoming an officer for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
