Membership has its Privileges at the Prehistoric Museum

Following major budget cuts in 2010 and 2011, the USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum began relying heavily on membership and admission fees to operate.

Membership dollars have helped the museum in several ways. The Utahraptor skeleton that now greets visitors in the lobby has been updated. Renovations to the Fremont pit house diorama were made to make it look lived in. A new pit house in the children’s discovery area was built and several other projects have been completed because of these fees.

Increasing museum membership will help continue work to protect and exhibit the fossil and archaeological record of eastern Utah. Members receive fantastic benefits while helping the museum fulfill it’s educational mission by providing funds to stay at the leading edge of regional research, education and exhibit.

An annual membership includes the following:

Unlimited admission to USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum and the Museum of Moab for one person.
Subscription to the quarterly museum newsletter, The Raptor Review.
Ten percent discount at the museum gift shop.
Admission to the annual Member’s Appreciation Dinner with updates about the museum’s accomplishments in the past year.
Exclusive invitations to temporary gallery openings, special lectures and field trips.
A 33% discount on a museum classroom rental.

An individual membership is $25 and a family membership is $40. Several other donation levels and corporate packages are also available.
