A variety of memorial services took place throughout the Castle Country Monday morning as the public spent the day in reverence to those who gave their lives in defense of their Nation.
Orangeville City, along with the local American Legion, hosted such services. The service opened with prayer after which tribute was given to seven WWII veterans from Orangeville.
A gun salute was offered during the service as well as a flag ceremony after which community members were able to visit the adorned graves and monument posted for the day.
