September 24 is the day to win great prizes and serious cash at the Millsite Fishing Derby sponsored by Fins and Furs Guiding, Cabelas and Sportsman’s Warehouse. Cash prizes will be paid out to first, second and third place finishers as well as on hourly prize for the biggest fish. First place pays $1000, second $750, third $500. Also, $100 will be awarded for the biggest fish caught hourly.
Registration is available online at www.finsandfurguiding.com. Once on the home page, click on the Fishing Derby link then click on Pay Now. This will give you a registration form and a listing of tournament rules. Registration is $50 for each participant and includes one raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased at check-in.
Raffle prizes include a kayak and fish finder as well as Cabelas and Sportsman’s Warehouse gift cards, a fishing reel, other fishing tackle and some free lunches at the clubhouse restaurant. Those that register early will receive two raffle tickets instead of one. So, register early to double your chance to win great raffle items!
