The spillway at Millsite Golf Course is discharging as much water as has been seen in many years, and though volunteers had to sandbag the river to prevent flooding of the golf course, the waterfall is proving to be a huge draw for golfers.

According to Ferron Canal Company Manager Gordon Bennett, approximately 600 cubic feet per second is spilling over from Millsite, making the waterfall seen from the golf course an incredible sight.

Millsite Golf Pro Jordan Leonard agreed, saying , “The golfers love it!”

Leonard reported that to his understanding, “this is some of the most water that’s come off there,” and that the sight has been great publicity for the course. “Folks come here to golf just to see the waterfall,” he said.
