Local residents showed strong support for Miss Carbon County Alexis Matthews on Wednesday night during a send-off celebration. Matthews posed for photos and signed autographs for supporters during the good luck event held at Cold Stone Creamery.
The Miss Utah Pageant will begin Monday, June 17 with opening events and will run through June 22. Matthews will compete for the crown against competitors from across the state.
During the send-off celebration, Matthews was joined by current Little Miss Carbon County, Riley Frandsen.
