The annual Miss USU Eastern pageant took place on Wednesday evening. Six women took part in the pageant, which included a swimsuit competition, a talent competition, an evening gown display and an onstage question. The contestants included Madison Woodward, Caitlin Hensley, Bonnie Blackburn, Harly Earl, Morgan Verdi and Samantha Jones.
The event also featured special performances by Miss Carbon County Brielle Bogdin, Little Miss Carbon County Madisen Justesen, Miss Carbon Outstanding Teen Jenna Hansen, Mini Miss Carbon County Tatum Tatton, Mr. USU Eastern Toby Prettyman and many others.
After the many competitions, judges made the tough choice of crowning Miss USU Eastern. Earl took the crown along with a $1,000 tuition fee waiver for USU Eastern, a Savage sponsored scholarship valued at $500 and the opportunity in representing USU Eastern at Miss Utah.
Jones became first attendant, garnering a $500 tuition fee waiver for USU Eastern. Blackburn was crowned second attendant with the same prize. The Spirit of Miss USU Eastern award also went to Blackburn, along with a $100 cash award.
