Robbie Mitchell traveled to Ridgecrest, Calif. for round five of the WORCS series last weekend.
Mitchell started fast, earning the holeshot.
“I grabbed another holeshot and battled for the lead all through the race,” he shared on his fan page.
After a quick pit stop, he continued the race with a 12-second lead on third place. Mitchell gained momentum, battling for first place in the last lap against the two-time champion.
“I only lost by 10 seconds after losing my front brakes on the last lap,” he explained.
The second place finish puts Mitchell 25 points away from first place in the WORCS series and earned him a season-best finish.
