Price native Robbie Mitchell had his last chance to take the top spot on the podium at the final round of a World Off-Road Championship Series event over the weekend. Mitchell rose to the occasion, getting his first win in the series at the race in Primm, Nev.
Mitchell started the race with the holeshot but didn’t have it easy as pressure came from other riders throughout the race. With some effort, Mitchell was able to hold the lead, crossing the finish line in first place. The win earned Mitchell 25 points in the series, putting him in second place overall with 178 points.
“I would like to thank my wife, friends and family for all the support,” Mitchell shared. “I would like to thank all my amazing sponsors for making this possible.”
The WORCS series will kick off the 2017 season January 6-8 at Mesquite MX in Nevada.
