Mont Harmon Middle School Students Compete in School-wide Spelling Bee

Students of Mont Harmon Middle School gathered to show their strengths in a friendly competition during the school-wide spelling bee on Tuesday afternoon

Nine finalists were chosen to compete for the top three spots in the school. The finalists are as follows: Connor Bulkley, Kyler Frisbie and Lexy Webster of sixth grade. Kolton Barrington, Chris Grant and Grace Stewart of seventh grade. James Bryner, Austin Engar and TJ Linville of eighth grade.

The top nine kids will receive a Polar Swirl donated by A&W, a kids meal donated by A&W, a day pass donated by the Wave Pool, a value meal donated by McDonald’s and a game of bowling with shoes at Gateway Lanes.

The nine finalists then competed for the top three spots. In third place was Frisbie. Frisbie won a $25 Walmart gift card. Second place was awarded to Bryner who won a $50 Walmart gift card. The first place winner of the Mont Harmon Middle School spelling bee was Webster. Webster won a $75 gift card to Walmart. The gift cards were graciously donated by the Price Kiwanis Club.

Also donated to the school by sponsors were three trophies by Original Creations, INC and four buffet gift certificates from Pizza Hut. Mont Harmon Middle School would like to thank the sponsors for their generous donations and for supporting the school’s spelling bee. Mont Harmon also wants to thank Mrs. Gagon, Mrs. Sorenson and Mrs. Taylor for all their help.
