Mont Harmon once again has a Geodesic dome on its campus. Scott Fincher and his tech classes have been busily working the past six months to construct the dome. Although the dome is the same size as the previous one, it has some new features.
The new structure will house game fish and be a standard green house for growing plants all year round. There are also plans to add a water treatment plant for purifying water.
An enclosed methane generator will be set up to produce fuel from animal waste. There are solar panels that will activate and run the venting system.
Plans are already underway for not only the tech classes to use the new lab, but for science classes to grow suspended hydroponic plants in the enclosed structure as well.
