Wednesday evening, the Emery County School District hosted its regular monthly board meeting at the Cleveland Elementary School.

Superintendent Kirk Sitterud discussed various items and issues which needed the consent and approval from board members.

Superintendent Sitterud commented that Nov. 19 has been designated as Support Staff/Classified Employees Day in Utah. “I want to express my appreciation for the support staff/classified employees and what they do to contribute to the education of our children,” he said.

Cleveland Elementary Principal Jerel Lofley gave the School District Board an update from the school. He reported that the SAGE Scores at Cleveland Elementary were above the proficiency level compared to the state’s scores in reading and math and slightly below the state level in science.

A Veterans Day program will be hosted at Cleveland Elementary on Monday at 10 a.m.
