The Pinnacle Panthers took a Region 19 loss against Monticello on Tuesday night as the hosting Buckaroos outpaced the visiting team throughout the game.
Monticello came out quick in the first quarter, putting up 19 points, to take a 19-11 lead into the second. The Buckaroos went on for a game high 26 points in the second, leaving the Panthers struggling to come back from a 45-24 deficit.
The Panthers defense was no match for Monticello in the second half as the hosting team went on to outscore Pinnacle 41-21 to take the win.
Logan Ellington led the Price squad with 15 points, including a lone bucket from downtown. Kaden Daughters put up three treys in the effort, good for 11 points overall. Dalton Cook also chipped in 11.
Pinnacle (9-9, 3-4 Region 19) will look to rebound at home on Friday as the team hosts Whitehorse (0-7, 0-7 Region 19) for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
