Shooting woes doomed the Lady Panthers on Saturday as the team took a region loss to Monument Valley in Price, 80-21.
Pinnacle managed only seven points in the first half while visiting Monument Valley chipped in 40 to take the lead at the half. A game-high 26 points for the visiting team in the third put the Panthers in a hole from which they couldn’t climb as they scored only 14 points in the second half.
Nikki Borba and Alexus Salazar lead their team with 10 points apiece. Zoeys Kocks was the only other Panther to score in the game, adding a lone point to the scoreboard.
The Lady Panthers (7-10, 0-3 Region 19) will look to rebound on Wednesday as the team travels to Green River (3-10, 1-3 Region 19) for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
