The Future Business Leaders of America chapter at Carbon High School will be taking more students to national competition the end of June in Atlanta, Georgia than ever before this year.
“We have a wonderful group of students,” Terri Tubbs, the FBLA advisor for the school told the Carbon Board of Education on April 13. “This is the largest group of students ever to go to nationals from our district.”
The eligible group includes 10 students, nine from Carbon High and one from Mont Harmon Middle School.
Those attending starting June 28 includes Logan Engar (State office/partnership with business), MaKara Morgan (Marketing), Paul Bryner (Marketing), Luke Hansen (Marketing), Chloe Teuscher (Insurance and risk management), Addy Taylor (Partnership with business), Kalen Gunter (Health care), Rachel Walton (Partnership with business), Fernanda Hernandez (Introduction to parliamentary) and James Bryner (Business spelling-middle level).
The students qualified for nationals by going to a number of state competitions and placing well in those events. They will return from their trip on July 3.
