On Friday at the Dixie 2 rodeo, more members of the rodeo teams scored in the top ten. Caleb Rubio earned second in bull riding. Jessica Fox captured seventh in the breakaway competition and Korby Christiansen and Drake Weber place fifth and 10th, respectively, in the reining cow horse class. In the shooting sports, Carbon’s Kagen Rhodes was third in both the rifle and trap shoot.
On Saturday at the Dixie 3 rodeo, Christiansen won the saddle bronc riding competition. Weber and Bret Olsen were sixth in team roping and Will Magnuson roped fast enough for fourth in the tie down roping. Rubio scored on his bull to place third. Rhodes earned third in the rifle event and 10th in trap shooting while Ruger Payne, Emery, captured eighth place in the trap shooting.
Up next is another weekend for the Dixie-6 and two more opportunities for team member to score more points before the winter break.
