• PARADE
The parade for the Emery County Fair will be held on Aug. 4. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. The theme this year is “Country Fun for Everyone.” You may sign up for the parade online by going to emerycountyfair.com and filling out a form or you can sign up that morning in front of the Blue Sage Indoor Arena on 150 South and 300 East. The parade route will begin on 500 East Main Street and end on Spartan Avenue. We encourage everyone to be there at 9 a.m. so that we can line up and begin the parade on time.
• SENIOR CITIZEN LUNCH & BINGO
The Emery County Fair Senior Citizen Lunch and Bingo will be held Thursday, Aug. 2 at 12 p.m. at the fair ground pavilion. Come enjoy a great meal served by our Emery County Commissioners and entertainment by Clive Romney. After the entertainment, stay for a fun game of bingo great prizes to be won.
• $1,000 CASH PRIZE BINGO
Join us at the Emery County Fair on Thursday, Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. at the fair ground pavilion for $1,000 bingo. Come play bingo for a chance to win $1,000 CASH prize. Must be 18 years or older to play. There is also a chance to win other prizes from our local businesses. Come enjoy the FUN!
• 5K RUN/2-MILE WALK
The Emery High Cheerleaders will host the third annual Emery County Fair 5K run/2-mile walk event on Saturday, Aug. 4.
The run will begin at the pavilion directly across from the San Rafael Museum at 6:30 a.m. Sign in begins at 6 a.m. Each runner will receive a t-shirt when they sign in.
This event isn’t just for runners; it is designed to include all ages and family members. We will have two routes: one for the 5K runners and a shorter 2-mile route for those that just want to walk. The walk is for anyone, including strollers and children on bikes.
The cost per participant is $25. Kids 10 and under are free but must have a paying participating adult with them to do the run. Kids don’t have to pay the entry fee but can still get a t-shirt for $12. There will be cash prizes for the first place male and female of each age division.
To sign up for this event, please contact any EHS cheerleader or Heather Behling at (435) 749-0216 before July 20. You can sign up the morning of; however, you will not be guaranteed a t-shirt.
All proceeds from this event go directly to the cheer team to help with competition costs. Thank you for your support!
