The Museum of the San Rafael in Castle Dale hosted a ribbon cutting and open house Wednesday for their newest attraction the Discovery Corner. The new addition provides a unique and interactive learning experience for children.
Six-year-old Peyton Jackson wants to be a paleontologist when she grows up. Of Discovery Corner, she said her favorite part was “the sandbox, because you get to dig.”
A sandbox full of fossils and treasures to find isn’t the only attraction. Kids can also enjoy building and playing with their own dinosaur farm using a variety of toys. Fossils, rocks teeth, and tracks are available for kids to explore and discover. A television set provides for visual entertainment as well.
Kids are welcome to come and explore Discovery Corner for themselves. They can enjoy a fun, hands-on learning experience along with the other attractions at the museum.
