Press Release
Mark your calendars. National Bookmobile Day happens once every year and is Wednesday, April 13th.
The Carbon County Bookmobile Bookworm is making an appearance and will be in East Carbon on 105 Geneva Road, Highway 123. He will be there starting at 2 p.m. and ending at 4 p.m. that day.
National Bookmobile Day (Wednesday, April 13, 2016) celebrates our nation’s bookmobiles and the dedicated library professionals who provide this valuable and essential service to their communities every day.
According to the American Library Association’s website, National Bookmobile Day is an opportunity for bookmobiles fans to make their support known—through thanking bookmobile staff, writing a letter or e-mail to their libraries, or voicing their support to community leaders.
National Bookmobile Day is coordinated by the ALA Office for Diversity, Literacy and Outreach Services, the Association of Bookmobile and Outreach Services (ABOS), and the Association for Rural & Small Libraries (ARSL).
You can visit https://www.ala.org/offices/olos/nbdhome to receive additional information regarding the Bookmobile Program. However, if you still have additional questions, please feel free to call the Carbon County Bookmobile Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m at (435)-472-5601. Thanks for your cooperation.
