National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA) races were hosted at the Carbon County Fairgrounds on Saturday afternoon. Two back-to-back runs in the roping arena saw many competitors taking their turn in the contest.
The races are part of a series that will take place throughout August and September. Other competition dates include Sept. 21 and 28, both taking place at the fairgrounds at 1 p.m. The event on Sept. 28 will also feature the finals in the main arena.
