In other city business:
Lorie Larsen assured the city that they will receive a satellite Miners Memorial monument to be placed in the Miner’s Park in the northwest part of Huntington. The council discussed the purchase of 96 water shares that had been offered to the city. A public hearing will be held at next month’s meeting before a decision can be made.
Huntington City is working with Rocky Mountain Power in a pilot program to replace city lights with LEDs as regular lights burn out. This should save money on electric bills in the future.
The city is also working with RMP and UDOT in an effort to slow down traffic on Main Street.
