Price City Mayor Joe Piccolo and City Councilmen met Wednesday to discuss the city’s new fire truck, International days and other business.

Fire Chief Paul Bedont reported the new fire truck would arrive approximately six weeks ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, the new building to house the truck had not moved past the bid-seeking stage.

Officials will host a meeting to review and accept bids on Friday. Bedont estimated a new building would take six to eight weeks to complete.

Notes:

  • Councilmen reported International Days festivities were on track and ready for the celebration. A reported 104 vendors signed up to participate in the event. Councilmen were excited as they anticipated a successful weekend.
  • Twenty boxes of non-refrigerated milk were donated for placement in the care packages for the troops. Reports indicate milk was the most desired drink among troops in Afghanistan.
