Spring road construction projects are underway, and a major one is being conducted on State Road 6 by local company, Nielson Construction.
The passing lane project, which began earlier this month, covers a 3.5 mile stretch of road between milepost 274 and Woodside. Therefore motorists driving between Wellington and Green River Monday through Friday should be prepared for the characteristic inconveniences that come with road construction.
Traffic is being shifted south to accommodate construction on the north side of the road, and to allow for two lanes of traffic, but drivers should also be prepared for delays should traffic control personnel be required to stop traffic in either direction.
Nielson Construction encourages motorists to use caution through the area, as vehicles will be entering and exiting at various locations throughout the project.
