The Carbon County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 4:30 p.m., at the Carbon County Commission chambers on the second floor of the Carbon County Administration Building at 751 East 100 North, Price, Utah, to solicit comment concerning the size, scope and nature of a grant request to be presented to the State of Utah Community Impact Fund Board, by the Carbon County Board of Commissioners, for improvements to Ridge Road in Carbon County. The purpose of the project is to provide a safe, sustainable route to accommodate industrial traffic and reduce traffic congestion and improve public safety through Price and Wellington.
The project consists of reconstructing the entire 7.5-mile roadway between State Route (SR)-10, south of Price, to US-6, east of Wellington, to comply with American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) guidelines. The grant is being sought in conjunction with a Federal BUILD grant. All persons wishing to be heard at the hearing will have an opportunity to speak.
