Office of Outdoor Recreation Awards Helper City With Funds for River Restoration Project

Helper City Mayor Lenise Peterman announced on Wednesday evening that the city was awarded a large amount of funds to assist the ongoing River Restoration project.

The Office of Outdoor Recreation awarded Helper City $95,000, all of which will benefit Phase V of the project and activities.

“I am thrilled to have captured this funding,” Mayor Peterman said.

A whopping total of $239,000 has now been secured for the next phase with one grant result outstanding. Mayor Peterman stated that the progress remains steady and strong and the partnerships are invaluable as the city looks to Phase VI.

“Many thanks to those partners who are helping us make our vision a reality!” Mayor Peterman concluded.
