Judge Jon Carpenter of the Carbon County Justice Court recently administered the oath of office to Tyler Cressall, the newest member of the Price City Police Department.

Nearly a ten-year veteran of law enforcement, Cressall started his career in Salt Lake County working with the county’s adult probation and parole, he shared with the Price City Council on Wednesday.

“I look forward to serving this community and expanding my resume in law enforcement,” he said.

“Thank you for protecting and serving us, we hope you do it in a safe manner,” Price City Mayor Joe Piccolo said to the newest officer, noting the later’s honoring of fallen police officers in West Valley by the black band across his badge.

“You have our hearts with you as well as they do,” Mayor Piccolo said.
