Reach Out is an organization that was created in 2017. The organization is a group of people that have been affected, in some way, by suicide.

This groups meets each Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the senior center in Castle Dale and is an opportunity as well as a safe space for those that have also been affected by suicide to voice what is inside.

On Friday evening, organizer Ann Larsen and the rest of the Reach Out community hosted an “Out of Darkness” walk. While the walk was originally slated to take place at the Huntington Lake, weather got the better of the plans and the storm caused the walk to be moved to the Canyon View Middle School gymnasium.

Many groups and individuals attended the walk to support the cause. Beaded necklaces were provided to don while walking and each color represented the various reasons of support for survivors.
