Seth Oveson took the oath to serve Carbon County as clerk/auditor during the Commission meeting on Wednesday night.
“My first day on the job I hope to open all the bids without tripping up too much,”said Oveson with a smile.
The newly appointed clerk comes from Smuin,Rich & Marsing accounting firm to fill the position of Robert Pero.
Oveson will finish Pero’s term and hopes to keep the position in the next election year.
“We are excited to have you. I think there’s great things in your future,” said Commissioner John Jones.
