Pinnacle traveled to play Tabiona on the diamond on Monday.
The Panthers scored twice in the top half of the first only to give up two runs in the bottom half. Pinnacle pushed in one more run in the fourth and took the same 3-2 lead into the bottom of the seventh. The Panthers were unable to get the save and gave up two runs in the bottom of the seventh as Tabiona walked off with a 4-3 win.
Isaac Arellano went 3-4 and scored twice in the contest. Stetson Motte also went 3-4 and had a double, triple and one run scored. Shayden Christensen and Mikey Vigil had nearly identical stat lines from the mound. They both went 3 and 1/3 innings and gave up two earned runs.
Then, on Wednesday, Pinnacle tried to bounce back against the Diamond Ranch Academy Diamondbacks. Again, the Panthers found themselves on the wrong end of a close contest and lost 8-6.
Pinnacle (3-7, 0-4 1A South) will be back home on Friday to play a regional opponent Piute (6-4, 2-2 1A South).
