After losing in Green River 13-3 against the Pirates on Friday, Pinnacle came home to host Tabiona Saturday.

The Tigers struck first with one run in the opening inning. With the same score in the second, the Panthers took the lead with two runs. Pinnacle did it again in the third to go up 4-1.

Tabiona answered back with two scores to cut it to one just before the Panthers took control of the game with three runs in the fourth. Pinnacle held on to win 8-5 and break its nine-game losing streak.

For the Panthers, Christain McLean pitched six innings, giving up 10 hits and three earned runs while striking out three batters. Mcguire Kocks went 2-2 with two doubles and two RBIs. Mikey Vigil had another good game, going 3-4.

Things will only get more challenging for the Panthers (4-12, 0-9 South Region) as they travel to play undefeated Wayne (15-0, 9-0 South Region) on Wednesday and then come home on Friday to host Diamond Ranch Academy (11-4, 6-2 South Region).
