Parents gathered at Bruin Point Elementary this week to take part in the Parent Math Morning events. Students and their parents in kindergarten through second grade met on Tuesday, while those in third through fifth grade met on Thursday.
Each day, parents and students enjoyed donuts and juice for breakfast. Once the morning bell rang, teachers presented information, resources and examples of math concepts that will be introduced during the second quarter at the school. The event aimed to help parents have a better understanding of what their children will be learning and how to better assist them with math.
