Pattie Bertrin Willson, age 75, left us quietly on May 5, 2014. He was born on May 17, 1938 in Elmo, Utah to Myron and Ada Willson. He married Georgia Kay Brinkerhoff on August 22, 1964 in Price, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized on May 17, 1969 in the Manti LDS Temple.

Pattie worked several jobs throughout his life. He had been a cowboy, security guard, mechanic and coal miner. He retired from the UMWA after 22 years of service at Deer Creek Mine in Huntington, Utah. After retiring, he still worked hard to take care of his family. He could be found cutting out wood for mom’s projects, driving kids around, or working on vehicles.

He loved to spend time fishing and hunting with his family, working on cars, tinkering in the garage and watching old Westerns. He was a selfless man, lived a simple life, and gave his love unconditionally.

He leaves behind a family who will forever miss him. Daughter, Patricia, of Price; Son, Carl (Julie) of Price;  daughter Georgiana “Jana” of Price; and daughter Jennifer (Tracy) West of Spring Glen. Grandchildren: Andrew (Melissa) Barney, Autumn Trujillo, Alyssa, CJ (Sesceli), Breanna, Dylan, Travis and Jaydon Willson, Tanner Willson, Jordan, Katelyn and Carley West. Great-grandchildren: Dominik, Landan, Xander, Sylus, Ellie, Jacob, Isaac and Tanner. And many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his infant son James Edward, his wife Kay, and brother Lewie.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Price Chapel (611 W. Price River Drive). Family will be receiving friends prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Cliffview Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
