August 16, 1955 – March 15, 2019
In the early morning hours of March 15, 2019, after a short illness, our loving wife, cousin, niece and friend passed away. Her passing has left a deep void in many people’s lives.
Patty was born on August 16, 1955, in Heber City, Utah to Sherman Kirkham and Beth Homer Kirkham. We are sure there was a joyous reunion with her parents.
She was raised in Francis, Utah. Her parents had a dairy farm where she helped with the farm chores. She both loved and hated the dairy cows.
Growing up she would play baseball with her friends. She also spent many summers cutting and bailing hay with her parents and later with her husband.
She graduated from South Summit High School and continued her education at Trade Tech in Provo. She worked as a clerk at the Wells Fargo Bank.
She met Franz Larsen and after a few years he convinced her to marry him. They were married in Reno, NV, on August 26, 1978. They moved to Castle Dale, Utah and lived there for several years. Then they moved back to Francis.
On October 13, 1984 their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Patty was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings in her ward. She was a compassionate and giving person. She was the first one to help when someone was in need.
She was a cook at the South Summit Seniors. She belonged to a bunco club. She also enjoyed bowling and play cards. She loved dogs and cats and always made sure the wild kitties outside were feed.
Patty and Franz attended many high school football games.
They enjoyed camping with family and friends. The one thing they truly enjoyed was traveling. They had many trips with the senior tour bus group where they made lasting friendships and memories.
She will be truly missed by many people, especially her husband.
Patty is survived by her husband, Franz. Her parents preceded her in death.
A viewing will be held between 11-1 at the Francis LDS ward house at 387 Frontier lane, Francis, UT. Funeral services will follow at 1.
Burial will be at the Francis Cemetery, 2585 S Utah State Route 35, Francis, UT.
