A 38-year-old female and a 50-year-old male both from Price, were struck by a vehicle just before 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of 600 East and Main Street.

A 57-year-old male was driving a Helper business van when he was traveling South bound, and was ready to turn right onto Main Street. After stopping at the stop sign, the male proceeded to make a right hand turn but did not realize there were two individuals crossing in the pedestrian crosswalk.

After realizing that he had hit the individuals and thinking that he was still on top of them, the driver backed up, but ran over the 38-year-old females foot once again.

The female victim sustained a broken ankle as well as abrasions to her leg, while the male suffered from pain in his left arm and hip. Both of the individuals were taken to Castleview Hospital while the driver was issued a citation for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
