On Thursday evening, Peterson Chemical opened its doors to the public for a Carbon County Chamber of Commerce sponsored Business After Hours event.
Peterson Chemical treated everyone to pizza from Big Don’s Pizza while owner Alan Peterson spoke about the history of the business, which was opened in 1941 as a candy distributing company. It wasn’t until 1947 that they made the switch to janitorial products.
Peterson spoke of the recent remodel to the building that houses the business that was built in 1960. The remodel incorporates a showroom in the front area of the building and Peterson credited Castle Country Radio’s Andy Urbanik as the mastermind behind the showroom concept.
To end the presentation, the business raffled off several cleaning products and supplies to a few lucky recipients.
