Generous donators gathered at the Carbon County Event Center Friday evening to enjoy a night filled with music, laughter and various ways to donate to the Family Support and Children’s Justice Center.
The second annual Dueling Pianos event is a way for the center to raise funds for daily operating costs. The duel consisted of two pianists performing selections for which attendees paid. If donators did not like a song that was being played, they could pay a higher amount to stop the song.
A raffle was held to top off the evening. After totaling the donations, over $3,700 was raised.
While monetary donations are appreciated at the center, other items are always in demand. Household items such as laundry detergent, dish soap, tissue, blankets and hygiene supplies can be donated to the center at any time.
