Pinnacle started off its season strong with a 7-1 win over Draper APA. The Panthers new skipper, Jim Miller, was happy with his team’s effort but realizes there is a lot of room for improvement as the season just began.
“We need to get the bat on the ball more consistently,” said Miller.
Looking at the year, Miller is excited about the talent on the roster, “we have a pretty strong roster. Our defense is strong and we have some solid relievers.” He continued, “If our pitchers can hit their spots and we can hit [the ball], we should be pretty good.”
The Panthers have five seniors and a handful of skilled juniors and sophomores. Pinnacle is hoping to compete with the top half of its region this year, but know that as Miller put it, “all the teams down south are solid.”
