The Pinnacle boy’s basketball team hosted its first home game on the season on Friday against American Leadership Academy. Despite a close contest, the team fell 53-46 to the Eagles.
Jitters in the first quarter saw the Panthers fall behind early in the game. Pinnacle was unable to connect with the rim until there was only about a minute left in the quarter when the Panthers sank a three-point shot. Pinnacle trailed 12-3 after the first.
Despite harder play, Pinnacle was not able to take back the lead, ending the game with a loss. The game marks the third loss for the Panthers on the young season.
The team will travel to West Jordan on Wednesday to compete against West Ridge Academy. The Panthers will continue their road competition against Telos on Friday.
