Pinnacle Canyon Academy hosted a basketball camp for anyone in the community that wanted to work on their skill before the upcoming season. On June 17-18, the high school group practiced their shots with a three hour workout, followed by a two hour break and another three hour workout.

Then on June 24-27, the elementary camp and middle school camp also participated at different times of the day, along with the high school camp. Local athletes from all schools attended the camp, seeing Knights paired with Coyotes, Pirates with Rams, Panthers and Dinos alongside one another.

There were many volunteer coaches throughout the camp, including Ray Jones Jr., Jake Hardy, Nikki Otto and Mark Stuckenschneider from Pinnacle Schools. Amanda Steele from Castle Heights Elementary and Jared Lessar from Mont Harmon Middle School also volunteered, as well as Taylor Bower and Jordan Blanc from Carbon High School. The other volunteers were Jess Brinkerhoff and Miranda Milovich of USU Eastern, Sheriff Jeff Wood and Price City Mayor Mike Kourianos.

The camp worked on every aspect of the game, from offensive skills defensive skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. With basketball becoming more of a shooting teams game, the camp also helped high school athletes sharpen their shot and bring consistency to their game. The athletes worked hard and it will show in all their upcoming, respective basketball seasons.

Each member of the camp received a shirt, along with more knowledge of the game than they arrived with.
