Residents of Pinnacle Care and Rehabilitation Center recently welcomed the spring season in a furry way. Active Re-Entry made a special stop at the center with its service dogs in tow to visit the residents. Along with the special four-legged friends, the members of Active Re-Entry delivered flowers to residents at the center.
Active Re-Entry Director Nancy Bentley explained that the idea behind these visits is so that the residents have a special activity between all of the fun that is had during the holiday season. The money that is raised during the pet photos with Santa event hosted by the organization each Christmas season is then used for the purchase of the flowers and other accessories used for these visits.
Each nursing home in the area will be visited by the members, both furry and human.
