In their first bout of action in the 2016 season, the Pinnacle Panthers fell in their nonregion faceoff against the St. Joseph Jayhawks on Tuesday 80-48 at home.
Kaden Daughters led the Panthers with a total of 16 points throughout the game.
The Jayhawks grabbed a 34-13 lead in the first quarter and didn’t let it go, continuing their lead in points until the fourth quarter when Pinnacle was able to secure 17 to St. Joseph’s 10. The lead, however, wasn’t enough to claim the overall victory.
The Panthers will look for their next victory on Tuesday, Nov. 29, as the team hosts Wendover for a chance to redeem themselves.
