Pinnacle Panthers Score Home Court Win Over Green River


The Pinnacle Panthers volleyball team hosted 1A rival Green River on Sept. 24. The competition was highly contested between the two teams. In the end, Pinnacle scored a 3-2 win over the Pirates.

In the first set, Green River came out on top 18-25. Pinnacle answered with a 25-22 win in the second set followed by a Pirate win in the third, 25-22. Pinnacle evened things up with a 25-21 win in the fourth set, sending the match into a fifth and final set. At the end of that set, the Panthers came out on top, 15-12, capturing the overall win.

According to Pinnacle coach Heidi Kay, the team never gave up and fought hard for the victory. “Lexi Wilstead came in when we needed a good serve,” Kay indicated. “She made the game winning serve and did an excellent job against Green River. It was an intense night.”

Pinnacle will host White Horse Tuesday evening beginning at 6 p.m.
