The Panthers played three games in two days last weekend with mixed results. Friday was not friendly to Pinnacle, who fell 20-0 against the Valley Buffalos.
The Panthers showed more fight in the latter game of the day, but came up on the wrong end of a 8-7 close contest. Senior Isaac Arellano and junior Jakai Ellington both had two RBIs in the match to lead the Panthers while Landen Hardy went 2-3 with two doubles and a stolen base.
Pinnacle faired better on Saturday and put up five runs in the second to blow past the Bryce Valley Mustangs and win 8-1. Junior Stetson Motte went 2-3 with a double, a triple and three RBIs in the win against the Mustangs. Shayden Christensen pitched five innings of one run ball while giving up four hits and striking out four.
The Panthers will host two games this week, beginning with rival Green River on Wednesday and ending with Wayne on Friday.
