The Castle Dale City Council discussed plans for a new city hall on Thursday. They have met with an architect and have received a preliminary drawing for a new building.
The new building will be built at 100 East Main Street in Castle Dale where the old Castle Dale Co-Operative Company and TC West buildings are currently located. These buildings will have to be demolished, but Castle Dale City would like to keep the old Co-Op alive by acquiring as many photos and descriptions as possible to display in the new building.
The foundation of the old Co-Op building is made up of large sandstone rock. The council would like to make benches out of the rock to put around the new building as a way to remember the old structure.
