Early in the morning on Saturday, April 8, kids of all ages could be found at the Wellington City Park eagerly anticipating the moment when they would be released to gather colorful plastic eggs during the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
The park was sectioned off into categories by age. When the alarm rang, the children were able to roam around and pick up as many eggs as they could. The colorful eggs were full of delicious treats. The Easter Bunny was also present at the event, handing out treats of his own and taking photos with the kids.
A concession of sorts was set up as well and once the children were done extracting their treats from the eggs, there were bins that the plastic eggs could be deposited in for re-use.
