Police Seek Suspect in Helper Armed Robbery

On Tuesday at approximately 10:05 P.M., an armed robbery occurred at the Swift Stop and Shop in Helper City. A lone male entered the store, produced a handgun and demanded money from the clerks. After a brief conversation, the suspect ended up taking a donation box for the Spencer’s Wishes Charity and fled the store. He was last seen running west through the parking lot. The two clerks were left shaken but unharmed.

Helper City officers, as well as the Carbon County Sheriff’s Department and Wellington City Police Department responded to this location and conducted a thorough search of the area. However, the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic or Indian male, 20-25 years old, around 5’5″, 130 pounds, and wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and a cold weather type face mask.
